Curses! Foiled Again!

When lined up outside of the security screening at an airport, I always find the "Bomb" icon on the warning signs amusing. It reminds me of something Snidely Whiplash would carry. However, you probably can't point this out to your fellow passengers without spending a some very uncomfortable time discussing it with people who do not find it funny at all.

Years ago, I read that "Uncopyrightable" was the longest word in the English language that did not repeat a letter. I turns out that is is the longest "Common" word, but there are others:

Dermatoglyphics, misconjugatedly also have 15 non-repeating letters. "Subdermatoglyphic" has 17 letters.
